Celebrating Mass with dignity

I don't think this is what Pope John Paul II had in mind when he wrote about "THE DIGNITY OF THE EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION" in chapter five of his encyclical, Ecclesia de Euchartistia.

Hey, wait a minute. No altar girls? Find out why HERE.

There are only about 9 men in attendance and yet they get the publicity? The tail is wagging the dog all over the place with this agenda.

Am I reading this wrong...?

(From the 'Dignity' website):

What options are open to a person who is homosexual and Catholic?

Official Catholic teaching requires that homosexual people abstain from sex. But the Catholic Church also teaches solemnly that people are obliged to form their conscience carefully and responsibly and to follow it as the bottom line in every moral decision.

Neither Scripture nor Tradition nor natural law theory nor human science nor personal experience convincingly supports official Catholic teaching about the immorality of homogenital acts. Accordingly, and only after much soul-searching, many gay and lesbian Catholics have formed consciences that differ from official Church teaching and have entered into homosexual relationships. In this respect, they are exactly like the many married Catholic couples who cannot accept the official Church teaching on contraception.

No teaching that does not permit them to freely satisfy their lustful desires will ever be "convincing".

Therefore the teaching is dismissed, and the disordered conscience reigns supreme.

It's as simple as that.

There is no 'Dignity' in the blue so- called vestment either. Blue isn't a liturgical color but neither is "rainbow", which I have seen as well.

Huh, two wrongs don't make a right my father always used to say. Just because hetero couples don't us NFP doesn't give the gays permission to their thing. Talk about faulty logic!

...and exactly WHY isn't the Seminary Hit Team kicking in the doors to this little Sodom-O-Rama?

If you give it a moment's thought, Dignity is perfectly consistent in equating married contraceptors with sexually active gays, if you consider the issue ontologically. Despite accidental anatomical differences, any married person who deliberately thwarts the gift of fertility has thereby undermined any objections to sodomy.

In a certain way, some married "Pill fans" may be more culpable for their sin -- being more coldly, rationally decide upon -- than some wounded soul caught up in the compulsion of SSA.

And no, I'm not condoning sodomy; and yes, I think Dignity is pitiful and scandalous. But the contraception connection shouldn't be dismissed.

the dissent from humane vitae gave the sodomites ammo to be so... well... flagrant.

Pope Paul VI was a visionary and prophet. When I was young I did not like him. Now I know why....the truth hurts. He was right about the disintegration of our society due to ABC, etc.
