Hey Quintero-

What's your take on the new AB of SF?

I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements to the blog, although I must admit I like it the way it is.

I appreciate your unique perspective on L.A. and on the Church at large.

Thanks for doing this blog. It must be a lot of work, but please know it is really appreciated.

In the course of my travels, I had occasion once to speak to a woman in the Salt Lake City diocese Catholic Charities office that the diocese has a strict policy requiring staff to refrain from discouraging pregnant teenage girls to procure abortions. Not that they would refer or recommend one, but once the girl has expressed her desire to solve her "problem" in the modern way, all discussion must come to a halt.

That's Niederauer's idea of being pro-life.

I tried and tried to find a way of publicizing the information, but was unable to find a way to do so that would not end in my informant's outing and probable firing.

What a great bunch of prelates that St. John's seminary has turned out!
