Cardinal Mahony approved ALL speakers

If you heard any speakers at "Congress" say anything out of line, just remember the following exchange, which is under "comments" on the "Congress" website.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kathleen Cervantes, Nov. 22, 2005: "I am trying to decide whether to allow my teens to attend, and I need to know in advance whether or not [Dignity] or any of their representatives, will be speaking, or if any open dissent of Church teaching on sexuality will be advocated by any speaker. How are prospective speakers screened and chosen, especially for Youth Day, is a more general and also important question which I would like answered. Yours in Christ.

All Congress speakers are carefully chosen and approved by the Cardinal. There are no speakers from DIGNITY.

I noticed cd's of all the talks are available on the congress web site. It would be interesting to make some of the more outragious talks public.

In his online chat, the Cardinal was asked about dissidents at the congress. He said he disagreed with the questioner.

Cardinal Mahony is a disgrace and an embarrassment to the Church.

This response surprises me. I thought that the whole point of having a laywoman front the Congress was to deflect criticism as well as responsibility. It is practically a cliche of Spirit of Vatican II Clericalism to let the little lady take the bullet and, in order to further promote justice, to pay her well to do so.

I guess that, if His Eminence Roger Cardinal Mahoney is personally signing off on each and every speaker, things are even worse in Los Angeles than I had thought. And I am sure glad that I do not have to answer for some of those choices.

How is this surprising to anybody that writes/or reads this blog? Everyone that reads this blog dislikes Mahony, Vatican II and modern culture...etc...etc....we get it! Quintero's partner in crime Kenny Fisher had been keeping us posted as to how many days, hours, minutes until the religious "mis"education congress would start....asking if our Lord and mother were calling us to protest as a result of the speakers dissenting from the magisterium. Now, after the REC..."as is wreck".....we are supposed to be surprised and even more infuriated now that the dissent that we all have been talking, writing and reading about has finally taken place.....even though we knew it would? It stands to reason that Mahony would approve of all speakers whether they dissent or not. To act further surprised seems a bit over the top and unnecessary, kind of like ordering a pizza topped with cheeseburgers.

This is a bit of a side issue BUT...

Not everyone who reads disagrees with Vatican II PER SE. IN THEORY, I don't disagree with the Council. But I DO disagree with how it's been implimented ... particularly in the US ... and even more particularly in Mahoney's diocese.

Some of the dissenting speakers atCardinal Mahony's Religious Ed Congress are Fr. Timothy Radcliff O.P. he told a crowd of 20,000 plus catholics to go see Bokeback Mountian. Fr. Thomas Reese S.J. former editor of America Magazine he is for euthanasia and women priests. Edwina Gatley she is feminist nun who promotes womens ordination and new age practices. Diana Hayes she is promoter of women priests and feminist theology. Thomas Groome who promotes womens ordination through women deacoms as being the first step to women in the priesthood. Bishop Donald Trautman he is promoting inclusive language in the mass and he thumbs his nose to Redemtonis Sacramentum he doesn't like sacred language like saying precious chalice he he is pushing for cup instead. He thinks sacred terminology is too hard for the laity to understand , basically he wants the dumbing down of the laity in the language of the mass. Fr. michael Crosby pushes for womens ordiantion, Tom Beudion also promoter of womens ordination there are also workshops given by liturgical dancers teaching liturgical dance. this is just a start of the list of dissenting speakers for this year every year these same ones come back or they use the other speakers on thelist for Call To Action ( a radical left wing dissenting organization that heavily promotes womens ordination and practicing homosexuals are in good standing with the Church. Also this organization promotes new age beliefs. I hope this satifies for now! Oh by the way the speakers I used are on Call to Action speaking tour.
