"A nuanced world" = Dead Babies

Once and for all: The bishops who give Holy Communion to their pro-abortion politician pals are the ones engaging in partisan politics, not the bishops who warn the anti-lifers to repent.

The Washington Post has reported that at the Mass of installation of Donald Wuerl as the new Archbishop of Washington, D.C., last week, the flaming pro-abortion, Church-baiting once and perhaps future presidential candidate John Kerry was given Holy Communion.

The giving of Communion to the brazen enemies of God's precious babies, the Culture of Life and the Magisterium of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ leads directly to the killings of more babies by lending aid and comfort to the pro-aborts and by giving the impression that aborting babies is okay. So does Cardinal Theodore McCarrick's recent false allegation of "polarization" and "partisan politics" against the pro-life bishops.

See the quotes from Cardinal McCarrick in arch-liberal Peter Steinfels' "Beliefs" column in the June 24 New York Times (click on this post's title). The cardinal urges "respectful relationships between a bishop and Catholic public officials" [as meanwhile the aborted babies' mangled bodies keep piling up day after day in our sewers, incinerators and landfills].

Cardinal McCarrick also recommends that bishops concentrate on "teaching, informing and dialogue." He says, "It's a nuanced position, but we're living in a nuanced world."

No, Cardinal McCarrick. No! What you ought to be saying is the truth: That God's precious preborn babies are DYING in a nuanced world. You and your pro-abortion politician pals are nuancing the babies to death -- by the thousands daily and the millions yearly.

Maybe Cardinal Mahony will help Cardinal McCarrick see the light. Just kidding -- sadly.

The McCarricks and Mahonys of this world will have much to answer for on judgment day.

I thought these guys . . . um . . er . . . bishops are first and foremost priests thus Alter Cristus. I don't recall ever reading in Holy Scripture that Jesus was "nuanced" about ANYTHING!!!!

Business as usual; these men are in the pockets of the pro0abort politicians. Rome says one thing and they do another. For 40 years we have had dissent and disobedience in our episcopate to the scandal and great loss of faith among millions. And on they go, doing (literally) whatever the hell they please.

As Fr Neuhaus put it this weekend in his address at the EWTN 25th Anniversary weekend in Philadelphia - "For every time you criticize someone, you should pray for them at least ten times."

I agree with Kenneth (though I haven't scoured his organization's website so I can't endorse them) on this, we must storm Heaven with our prayers. Not only for those bishops with whom we disagree, but also for those whom we support - that they both may be touched more and more by greater and greater outpourings of grace upon them. And furthermore, for ourselves and all the faithful, and all the world. That each soul might become more docile and receptive to more and more graces poured out upon them!

It is foolishness to complain without praying fervently for increased graces from our Heavenly Father as well as increased docility to the graces He is already pouring forth upon us all. Only when all hearts experience deeply and truly the love of God will the evils of this world end. We cannot do this ourselves. We cannot even begin to know what to do except for the grace of God.

Neuhaus raises an excellent point about praying for those with whom we disagree. I would further emphasize that we should pray for ourselves, to be prevented from falling further into discord and to avoid despair, a pit from which no good can come.

St Phillip Neri, pray for us, and may God bless us all,

~Big Tom

Dear Big Tom,

Thanks for your good comments on our need to pray for those whom we criticize, and for all the world and for ourselves.

Our prayer for ourselves should include the intentions that we never be self-righteous, that we always be charitable and just, and that we always strive for accuracy.

Thank you again, and as you say, God bless us all.
