Where are L.A. pro-life Democrat office-holders?

Lousiana Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, a Democrat, has signed a bill into law that, once the U.S. Supreme Court nullifies Roe vs. Wade, will protect all babies from being aborted except those whose mother's life is claimed to be in danger from pregnancy. (I say "claimed" not, obviously, out of disrespect for mothers' health but because money-grubbing abortionists have been known, to say the least, to cite phony reasons for committing abortions.)

The new law had bipartisan support in both houses of the Louisiana legislature. It would give abortionists up to 10 years in prison and would fine them up to $100,000. Similar measures are pending in several other states. The Planned Parenthoods are furious.

Wonder if the Louisiana lawmakers know they are following the advice of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta? In 1988 she told the 200th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, USA, "If I had power, I would open a jail and put every single doctor in jail for killing life."

But the point is, Governor Blanco is a Democrat. Today in Los Angeles, 38 years after aborting babies was legalized here in California, how come there are no, or virtually no, pro-life Democrat office-holders anywhere in the Los Angeles Archdiocese?

Have Cardinal Mahony, our auxiliary bishops and our clergy been working to foster the right to life among Democrats, and to encourage pro-life Dems to seek office? If they have been, they need to do better. If they have not been, when will they begin this good work?

Ha, ha, ha. Haaaaaa, ha, ha, haa. My, but you're funny.

I believe tha last pro-life democrat IN THE COUNTRY!!! was late Governor Robert P. Casey. A decent man, BTW.

All sarcasm aside, I know there are pro-life Democrat politicians, though few, but they probably don't live in California.

Loretta Sanchez aint the answer by a long shot.

Archbishop Mahoney needs to work both sides of the aisle. If he is purposely seeking only to foster friendships with the Dems, he is wrong in his pastoral duties.

Dear Ken,

The purpose of the question is to point out what they have not been doing and what they should do.

There are a lot of pro-life Democrats especially in Middle America. I would suggest that pro-life Democrats in California get organized and work for change within the party.
