A portrait of Cardinal McIntyre

Responding to my recent post about Cardinal McIntyre, of happy memory, commenter Dale kindly reported that Dorothy Day "kept a framed portrait of the Cardinal on her desk. It was signed 'To my good friend, Dorothy Day.' The late Miss Day was far more traditional in her piety than the leftists who claim to emulate her ever acknowledge. "

This prompted me to go looking for a portrait of Cardinal McIntyre. The one above is at www.findagrave.com

Cardinal McIntyre, please pray for us and for your beloved Los Angeles! Amen.

Cardinal McIntyre, with a gentle slap on my face, confirmed me.

It is not well known, but the Cardinal built St. Basil as a Cathedral, but Roger couldn't have that, he had to build a monument to himself.

It's a crime how the liberals continue to smear his name.

I't amazing how HizEminence has torn down all that his illustrious predecessors had built. Only to build up that gorified, um, sorry. I mean only to build up that glorified wharehouse from the ruins, put a cross on it, and call it a cathedral.

But we shouldn't be surprised at what is happening in our poor diocese. This is the result when the Lord and the Eucharist are replaced as the center of our Church with compasion uberalis. You get clergy that affirms: "The Lord wants it this way."

O, CARDINAL MCINTYRE PLEASE PRAY FOR YOUR OLD DIOCESE. AND PLEASE PRAY FOR THE HARDENED HEARTS IN THE CLERGY!!
