Stupidity = A Toll in Babies

The genius who uttered the following remark is not a pro-abortion politician from L.A., but he might as well be. He's a pro-abortion politician from Connecticut:

“Being pro-life is about more than caring for the unborn,” said Representative Christopher Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut. “It’s about caring for the living as well.” (New York Times, June 8, 2007)

So, Rep. Murphy, when your dear Mom was carrying you in her womb, you weren't living? So were you miscarried, or a stillbirth, or what?

ugh. i realize this post is a couple of years old but i just couldnt resist. that quote in no way shows a denial that fetuses are alive. what he means is that fundamentalist christians purport to care so much about abortive women and fetuses, who are overwhemingly part of the poor population. but when these fetuses grow up and are poor and educated, as per the cycle of poverty, that care and concern suddenly vanishes. the christian right feels as though these people are not worthy of the health care and benefits that others enjoy. that is what the quote meant. it was not a denial of the aliveness of fetuses, but a scathing condemnation of the christian right's inconsistent life ethic.

Dear Anonymous 7:24 a.m.,

Thank you for your comment of October 2009. I'm replying on Oct. 23, 2009.

It's best to say "preborn babies," not "fetuses." Saying "fetus" instead of "baby" is what the abortionists and their political and media cheerleaders always do in order to dehumanize and depersonalize the babies.

After all, the word "fetus" is just the Latin for "little one."

Pro-lifers do much more than "purport" to care about moms and their preborn babies. There are 3,000 or so pro-life centers that help expectant moms.

You have no basis whatsoever for claiming that pro-lifers have an "inconsistent life ethic." That is a propaganda claim made by the abortionists and their media and political cheerleaders, and we shouldn't repeat it.

The truth is the exact opposite of that propaganda claim. There are no pro-lifers who don't want medical care for poor people. Pro-lifers do not vote party-line; they oppose the pro-abortion politicians and candidates of all parties equally.

But lots of pro-aborts despise poor people and demand that they be stopped from having babies.

Lots of pro-aborts from developed countries go to the Third World and commit crimes against poor people, such as sterilizing them without their knowledge, bribing them to be sterilized, and using poor women as human guinea pigs for artificial contrcaeptives.

That is not caring about poor people, it is being their enemy.

Some pro-abortion top appointees of pro-abortion Obama have even floated totalitarian ideas in the past about using government power to force married people to have only one child. Being that way is not caring about poor people, it is being their enemy.
