Barack Hussein Obama: Sworn enemy of preborn babies

All you members of the Catholic hierarchy, clergy, religious and laity here in ole L.A. who can hardly wait to vote for Democrat presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama (shown above NOT holding his hand over his heart during our National Anthem; photo was in Time, Oct. 1, 2007) ought to ponder the following statement of his and then reflect on a stark truth.

That truth is this: If Obama or H. Rodham Clinton wins in November, the real losers will not be the GOP but all the preborn babies who will be aborted for decades longer because of their pro-abortion misrule.

Obama issued this statement on January 22, the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade:

"Thirty-five years after the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade, it’s never been more important to protect a woman’s right to choose. Last year, the Supreme Court decided by a vote of 5-4 to uphold the Federal Abortion Ban, and in doing so undermined an important principle of Roe v. Wade: that we must always protect women’s health.

"With one more vacancy on the Supreme Court, we could be looking at a majority hostile to a women’s fundamental right to choose for the first time since Roe v. Wade. The next president may be asked to nominate that Supreme Court justice. That is what is at stake in this election.

"Throughout my career, I’ve been a consistent and strong supporter of reproductive justice, and have consistently had a 100% pro-choice rating with Planned Parenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice America.

"When South Dakota passed a law banning all abortions in a direct effort to have Roe overruled, I was the only candidate for President to raise money to help the citizens of South Dakota repeal that law. When anti-choice protesters blocked the opening of an Illinois Planned Parenthood clinic in a community where affordable health care is in short supply, I was the only candidate for President who spoke out against it. And I will continue to defend this right by passing the Freedom of Choice Act as president."

Aren't you proud of your candidate Obama?

In the Illinois state legislature, Obama even opposed a bill to mandate medical care for the dear little babies who survive being aborted.

So if you pro-Obama or pro-H. Rodham Catholics here in L.A. get a chance to gloat this November, just remember that you are gloating at the expense not of the GOP but of millions of poor little babies, the innocent, defenseless victims of the heartless abortion-loving politicians whom you love and support.

Shame on you.

Either that, or he never showed up to vote. Let us not allow the pre-born babies to lose. Let us pray for the conversion of B.Hussien Obama, and let's get someone in the oval office that's pro-Life. :)!

I really, really liked your website... I've been following for months and months now, logging in every day, and really enjoyed your point of view and take on Catholic news. I came to trust, respect and like this site, and you.

Until today.

Until you stooped down to Oh-No-The-Scary-Muslims-Are-Coming!, bigoted, knee-jerk reactionism with the "Hussein" Obama title.

That's the kind of move I expect from some tinfoil hat-wearing, "Da Vinci Code-believing, backwoods bigot in Georgia or Alabama, from some small-minded little man who wants to scare people into something he knows isn't true but doesn't care because his own personal bigotry is So Much More Important To Convey. That's not what I expected from L.A. Catholic. I expected something much more educated and thoughtful from you; something just as fair as the rest of your posts.

I'm not even an Obama supporter, much less a fan -- I like Huckabee when push comes to shove. But you revealed yourself as such a reactionary bigot with the "B. Hussein Obama" headline and I just feel sad. Sad because I've lost faith in this site, but even more sad because I've lost faith in you as a voice of reason in a world already filled with enough meanness, lies, innuendo, gossip and fear-mongering as is.

Dear Anonymous 10:27 a.m.,

Thank you for your very kind words about this blogspot, at least until yesterday. Hope I can put you at ease about things now.

Don't worry, I don't think Obama is a Moslem. And I don't intend anyone else to think that, either.

You might want to give your fellow Americans, including the visitors to this blogspot, much more credit for their political awareness.

I don't know anyone who thinks Obama is a Moslem. I do know people who think the congregation he belongs to in Chicago is cause for questioning his judgment.

Is it all right to give his full name -- Barack Hussein Obama, as with Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Lyndon Baines Johnson, William Jefferson Clinton? From now on, I'll do that. I could even modify the headline that upset you!

You might want to consider whether you are being judgmental in jumping to conclusions, using hyperbole and hurling accusations.

My reason for using "B. Hussein Obama" was humor -- to tweak his adulatory supporters and to allude to the columnist and humorist Ann Coulter's having originated that usage. I don't think she thinks he is a Moslem at all. Nor do I.

So please keep coming back here. Let's give each other a second chance!

Dear Anonymous 10:47 a.m.,

I hope you know that those wise to the ways of the world will suspect that a profession of long and deep affection for this blogspot, coupled with sudden rejection of it, does not ring true.

Those wise to the ways of the world might suspect that someone who said things that way was a troll trying to get people to stop visiting this blogspot.

Someone tried that ploy a year or so ago here, and the phoniness of it was obvious.

Glad you say you are for M. Dale Huckabee, though.

Dear Anonymous,

Thanks for associating Georgia/Alabama with bigots. Can't a bigot come from anywhere? Why do you single out these two southern states? I happen to have family from Georgia...

Hypocritical, when you were just coming down on L.A. Catholic for its supposed bigotry... then you display it yourself...

Dear Katolico,

Thank you for pointing out the inconsistency in the post by Anonymous 10:27 a.m.

It's clear that liberals have lots of prejudices and commit lots of stereotyping. They love to accuse pro-lifers and conservatives of everything from soup to nuts -- falsely! -- but have many genuine faults, including serious ones.

Thanks again!
