Do you know about the Nican Mopohua?

If you were able to take part in any Guadalupana events this past week, you know how beautiful and unforgettable they are, and why we look forward to them all year long.

What love everyone has for Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the True God, and what pride and consolation we take in Her and in St. Juan Diego!

Do you know about the Nican Mopohua? It is a very moving account, from around 1560, of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego. Antonio Valeriano, a Catholic Aztec and scholar, wrote it in Nahuatl, the Aztec language.

Click on this post's title for a site where you can learn all about the Nican Mopohua. You can even see it in Nahuatl and find English and Spanish translations. Your love for Our Lady of Guadalupe, Her Son, and St. Juan Diego will grow and bloom.
